Innovation Based Economic Development
Green-G Network connects communities and regions with resources (expertise, research and financing) to develop circular economic development projects in distressed census tracts.
Green-G Network Development Projects will be anchored by locally owned businesses that:
- provide real living wage incomes for all employees;
- will not be dependent upon tax breaks or other traditionally used economic development incentives;
- utilize locally available assets and/or innovations crucial to the operation of the business.
Green-G Network was formed as a support network for communities and regions seeking to “grow their economies from within” instead of relying on recruiting and relocating businesses.
THE PLAYBOOK FOR LOCAL ECONOMIC RESTORATION

The RESTORE Process

Green-G Network created REIZE – Implementing the RESTORE PROCESS to demonstrate how ASSET BASED DEVELOPMENT can restore economic opportunity in distressed census tracts using local innovations.

NM-REIZE was formed as a collaboration between Green-G Network and three innovators after using the RESTORETM process to demonstrate how community engagement can identify scalable technologies to restore economic opportunities for the region:
- Solving New Mexico Problems First
- Using New Mexico Assets
- Deploying New Mexico Innovations
